Lending Methodology

IMMDF makes credit decisions based on a number of factors. Some of the most important of these factors are:

  1. Experience of Owners and Managers;
  2. History of the Company;
  3. Business Planning (the proposed use of loan funds);
  4. A company’s historical financial performance; and
  5. A cash flow analysis of the proposed projects ability to repay the loan.

All of these pieces of information are a part of the documentation IMMDF requires with each of our loan applications.

 

A typical IMMDF client is a business or business owner with at least 10 years of experience in their industry. A potential borrower is even more attractive if they are currently operating a business in Iraq. Because much of IMMDF’s lending is focused on the manufacturing sector, it is also helpful if the potential borrower plans to produce a product that can be measured in units sold.

 

Most importantly, IMMDF is interested in lending to businesses and business owners with whom we can build long-term, trust based relationships.
